“Three’s Company” has been one of my most favorite television shows from my early years— being the 1980s. I vividly recall the later episodes as they aired (around ’82/83) when seeing them on our old wooden Zenith set on South Mountain View in good ol’ Anaheim. What sticks out most is the ending title card, in yellow and white, with the words flying in.

I’ve got the entire series on DVD, and have met some of the cast of the show (with Don Knotts as a leading fav) and even own my now-dogeared copy of Come and Knock on Our Door: A Hers and Hers and His Guide to “Three’s Company”.

So now that I’ve established my hardcore fanness of the show… I wanted to show some great clips. They start out with Suzanne Somers talking one-on-one in 2009 about leaving “Three’s Company,” and not having talked to Joyce DeWitt since leaving the show (since changed, as you will see).

Here’s the much-anticipated “Ferris Bueller” Super Bowl commercial. It runs just over two minutes. I actually liked it. It’s not really in Ferris Bueller character— but rather Matthew Broderick playing himself, a la Ferris Bueller. It takes many elements from the 1986 film, and if you were born past 1995— you may not catch on to this at all.

Out of 5 stars I’d give it 4½.

One of the latest viral buzzes is that there’s gonna be a sequel to “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”— or so some have thought. This article by The New York Daily News sets it straight.

Although we will see an incarnation, of sorts, on Super Bowl Sunday.
